There will be bouquets at dawn when Bride Wars, this year’s biggest chick flick, comes to blows on DVD and Blu-ray on the 18th May. Released by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Bride Wars follows best friends Liv and Emma as their dream weddings turn them from BFF’s into Bridezillas!

Childhood friends Liv (Kate Hudson; How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Almost Famous) and Emma (Anne Hathaway; The Devil Wears Prada, Rachel Getting Married) have been planning every detail of their weddings since they were six years old. Both dreaming of a lavish celebration at New York’s plaza hotel, it looks like they will finally get the weddings they have longed for when 20 years later their respective boyfriends propose, they secure June dates at the Plaza and get ready for happily ever after.

But nothing ever goes according to plan…

When their exclusive wedding planner makes a clerical error Liv and Emma end up scheduled to marry on the same date. Unwilling to back-down, their lifelong friendship gets cast aside as the former pals find themselves locked in a take-no-prisoners struggle to ruin each others big day!

Laced with side-splitting moments of sabotage, fizzing with style and sprinkled with touching BFF moments, Bride Wars is the ultimate feel-good chick-flick. Also staring Candice Bergen (Boston Legal, Sex and the City) and Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun) it’s the perfect accompaniment to any girls-night-in.
