Initial Star Trek reviews
It would seem that the early reviews of the new Star Trek film directed by J J Adams (Cloverfield) are very favourable. I am getting quite excited by this now. I enjoyed the old Star Treks as a kid, Next Generation became a bit boring and Voyager was the only one I really enjoyed, Enterprise and Deep Space Nine I never saw. The films were ok I suppose but it had become tired and… well crap and I gave up on them well before Nemesis.
So reading these review snippets was like a breath of fresh air, I think it will need to be seen at the cinema this time. What are your opinions on the Star Trek Universe?

I’m hoping this may relaunch the franchise, breath a bit of fresh air into tired old bones (no Dr McCoy pun intended!). The trailers certainly look good, can’t wait to see it, when’s it out over here?

Just one more month to wait then, not too bad. Just read the comments in the link and they’re sounding universally good. From my point of view this could be the Trek film I’ve been waiting for for a long time, a big sci-fi actioner! Better go and book my tickets!
indeed, although as someone says the review by CHUD maybe how it all turns out, all the others sound pure fanboy, personally I think it will be superb so i choose to ignore that review lol.
Even he seemed to imply that it was second best behind Wrath of Khan though, which is no bad thing. Personally I think the advances in sfx will take this to another level. Roll on a fast paced Star Trek blast of a film.

One of them put it in the same league as Star Wars, I’ll be imensely surprised by that. I am optimistic that it’ll be the best Trek film ever though and with the youth of the cast (if they manage to keep them signed up) we could get a few more decent Trek films in the near future.
