Gore Verbinski to Direct Bioshock the Movie.
It would seem that Gore Verbinski will be making Bioshock. A film based on the computer game of the same name. I have to say that I am quite excited by this but I do have to remember that most computer game to film adaptations have never really hit the mark. There have been real stinkers and there have been some ok ones, but nothing truly outstanding.
What I am glad about in relation to this move is that Pirates of the Caribbean will be stopped/delayed. The 1st was good, the third was ok, so it’s a downward spiral for those films, time they were left.

Bought the game but haven’t gotten round to playing it yet. I’m always dubious when I hear a film is a game conversion as they never turn out well. Here’s hoping!
I know what you mean, one day we will get a really good one though. The game is pretty good too, nice 1950s feel to it, would make for a damn creepy movie.
Great game, looking forward to the movie though I heard it had been canned due to the projected cost.
